HEAGE CARNIVAL WILL BE BACK IN SUMMER 2010!!!

Welcome to the Heage Carnival Website.

Heage Village has been without it's famous Carnival since 2003, but now a group of determined locals have got together to re-start this auspicious occasion in 2010.

Heage & Nether Heage Carnival is just around the corner, the carnival day is going ahead as planned on Saturday 19th June 2010.

We have what we believe will be a great day out for all the family (let's pray for the weather!).

It is hoped that this will now continue each year, but more hands are always welcome. If you would like to get involved then please let us know via our contact page.

We would also like to hear from any local businesses so if you would like to sponsor an event or some of our facilities for the day just let us know.

CARNIVAL DAY PROGRAMME

PROCESSION (STARTING AT HEAGE WINDMILL) :

• 11:30am - Procession Registration.
• 12:15pm - Procession Judging.
• 12:30pm - Procession Sets Off from Windmill.
• Church Street -> Tenter Lane -> Old Road
• 1:00pm - Procession Arrives at Carnival Site.

AMBER SOUND FM STAGE :

• 1:15pm - John Tams officially opens the Carnival and Crowns the Queen.
• 2:00pm - Jazz Band.

MAIN ARENA :

• 1:30pm - Vanessa Millar CAN-CAN.
• 1:45pm - J.C. Balls Dancing Diggers.
• 2:20pm - Vanessa Millar Dance Group.
• 2:55pm - Heage Windmillers.
• 3:30pm - Amber Sound FM.
• 4:00pm - Heage Windmillers.
• 4:30pm - J.C. Balls Dancing Diggers.
• 5:00pm - Close with Amber Sound FM.
• (Raffle & Balloon Competition Draw - Holtams Balloon takes from site weather permitting.)

There will be a Kids Zone with inflatables and the Pinxton Puppets, along with numerous stalls, Fire Service Demonstrations, Rally Cars, Vintage Tractors & the 95th Rifles.

A main prize competition of guessing the number of balloons in a car to win a balloon ride for one with Holtams along with a raffle will be available on the day.
